I'm Cornwall Councillor for St Mewan.
I applaud your campaign, but I can't sign the petition as I am a member of the Strategic Planning Committee and won't do anything to jeopardise my position.
I have however, voiced my opinions strongly to those that are heading up the application.
Sincerely yours,

Cllr Malcolm Harris

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will be visiting the area in a few weeks and will be sure to record as much as I can for fear of what will be lost. We too in West Sussex are fighting the developers all around us. Whoever set up that list of objections did a fantastic job and I only pray enough folk took them up and made their feelings known. I believe the pilot stage is currently awaiting planning permission; our thoughts are with you.

I am in the process of finding anti-eco town letters so that I can merge together all of the relevant points listed on them. Once I am done I will be distributing these by hand, I will also send a copy in an email to [email protected] ~Bronze

Lets open peoples eyes to this sham! The only reason ORISCOM is interested in a business relationship with Imerys is to ensure they get the go ahead to develop the docks at Par into a luxury marina with high price homes. By applying for planning permission to build an "ECO " town it gives them a foothold into the development. Imerys will support it as it saves them reverting the mining areas back to heathland. If Par wasn't available would they really be interested?

Out of interest, how is that big hole in the ground going to be filled? Does anyone know its volume? It doesn't appear to bear any relation to the eco-bos drawings.
